Curry Done!

So the Curry is done (and eaten) the quiz has happened and everything is fine, maybe we even made some money!

Anyway, The Mothers ruin was in a bad way when we started, Me and my wife Emma had sold our existing business, a cafe/deli restaurant called St Custards based in Worcester, and had moved to Bristol. Well when we opened only I had technically moved, Emma and our two kids, Megan and Frank, were still in Worcester in our old house. I was living in a small flat With my new Bar manager (Rob) by Temple Meads station, working all week to get the Business off the ground and was being joined by Emma at the weekend to help us through the busy shifts. The only problem was when we opened there wasn't any. But more of that later.

The Pub was a complete wreck when we got there, just look at the photos in this post, There was hospital issue Red Lino everywhere, bad graffiti on the wall, Bodge job after Bodge job on top of Bodge job to uncover. The work was only just beginning. This was the first week in October 2007, and we wanted to be open for the first week of December. We had very little money, no workmen lined up and no name for the business yet. Just enthusiasm and a commitment to hard work.

got to go real work to do.
